¸£Àû¼§×Ôο State offering class in stained glass art
¸£Àû¼§×Ôο’s Continuing Education Program is offering “Introduction to Stained Glass Art — Easy Christmas Stained Glass Ornaments.” There are a number of session dates to choose from beginning Nov. 29. Classes will be held at the Glass Room Studio, 401 Duncan St., ¸£Àû¼§×Ôο.
Students will be introduced to the art of stained glass by the instructor through hands-on instruction. Using the Tiffany Foil Method, workshop participants will complete and design two stained glass Christmas ornament-size pieces – a Christmas tree and an old-fashioned Christmas bulb.
All materials and use of studio tools are included in the workshop registration. Aprons will be provided. Closed-toe shoes are required and jewelry should be limited. Beverages may be brought in a closed-top container, but no food is allowed in the studio.
Registration cost is $50 for a four-hour workshop with a limit of two students per session. Session dates and times are:
- Nov. 29 – 1-5 p.m.
- Nov. 30 – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Dec. 6 – 1- 5 p.m.
- Dec. 7 – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Dec. 10 – 10 a.m.-2 pm.
- Dec. 13 – 1- 5 p.m.
- Dec. 14 – 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
